Family time by the fireplace - enjoying the fire with children
The cosy atmosphere around the stove invites families to enjoy the warmth of the fire and spend precious time together. It's a perfect place to create memories and introduce children to the fascination of fire. Safety must not be neglected.
When the fire blazes and crackles in the fireplace, you can hardly take your eyes off it. Children in particular feel this unique fascination. What children love, they also want to touch. With a few simple precautions, a stove can be operated safely even with small children.
Take your time to explain to your children how a stove works. Show them the whole process. From loading the stove with firewood, adjusting the air regulation, lighting the fire to the beautiful flickering of the wood logs. Explain to your children that the fire generates heat and warmth, that the stove gets hot and must not be touched. Repeat this process several times with your children so that they do not forget it.
Do not leave small children in particular unattended near the fireplace. Conversely, make it clear to children that an adult must always be present. Agree clear rules with your children on how to use the fireplace.
