Stove or fireplace with wood combustion

With a wood fireplace, the preparations and anticipation begin even before the actual fire. There are various ways to obtain the firewood. For example, you can cut and split the wood yourself, buy it or have it delivered to your home. The firewood should be stored in such a way that it has a residual moisture content of 15 to 17 per cent before lighting. You fill the stove with the right amount of wood logs and light the fire.

With a wood fire, you can enjoy the fire in its original form. It crackles, flickers and a wonderful cosiness and warmth spreads through the living room. You determine the size and duration of the wood fire by adjusting the air regulation and adding firewood.

A wood fireplace requires a little more time before, during and after the fire than a gas fireplace. The firewood is carried into the living room, there may be sawdust and flying ash when filling the firebox and the ash must be disposed of. The wood fireplace is connected to a suitable flue gas system and does not require electricity.

You determine the size and duration of the gas fire via remote control or app.

Apart from regular maintenance by a specialist, the gas fireplace requires no maintenance. The fireplace is connected to a compatible flue gas system and requires electricity. Gas fireplaces can be operated with natural gas (connection line) or propane gas (gas cylinders).
