Fire Tips
A stove with a heat-storage module© provides pleasant radiant heat for several hours and helps to save energy.
Depending on the stove, a heat-storage module© consists of soapstone or storage fireclay. Due to their natural mineral composition, both materials have the property of absorbing and storing heat and then releasing it into the ambient air over a certain period of time. Even when the fire has already gone out, the storage elements remain nice and warm. This means you can enjoy healthy and cosy radiant heat for several hours (with a minimum amount of wood!). In low-energy and Minergie houses with low heating requirements, the controlled heat output of a stove with a storage effect is particularly useful.
Many Attika stoves have this additional option, which works invisibly inside the stove. Your Attika dealer will be happy to show you the various options.
So-called storage stoves, whose cladding is also made entirely of soapstone, offer maximum heat storage. With their enormous storage mass, these stoves give off noticeable heat to the living space for up to 15 hours. The VISIO 2 ELEMENT and VISIO 3 ELEMENT stoves made from element modules also offer maximum heat storage.
The JUNO 166 L stove combines a heat-storage module© with a soapstone cladding and thus offers maximum storage capacity.
