Our tricks against dry air in the living room

Cracked hands, dry lips and a dry cough. These are signs of a lack of moisture. They cannot always be blamed on food, as some rooms have dry air during the cold season. How does the stove affect the indoor climate? Does the living room fire dry out the air?

Most parapet stoves and parapet fireplace inserts burn room air independent with the connected AIR system. The AIR system supplies controlled outside air to the combustion process and has been specially developed for use in living spaces with very tight construction and/or controlled ventilation. Even in living spaces with a ventilation vacuum of up to 4 pascals, the perfect functioning of the fireplaces is guaranteed.

Even if this means that no room air enters the firebox when your stove or fireplace is in operation, the humidity drops due to the heat.

A tried and tested tip: water can be placed near the stove in a shallow, heat-resistant bowl. This will constantly evaporate and release moisture into the room. Incidentally, a matching vase also looks great as a decorative element.

Despite the cold, regular airing is also important in winter. To do this, open all windows completely for 5-10 minutes 3-5 times a day. The air in the living room is then renewed and provides sufficient humidity again.
