with a lot of heart and a cosy atmosphere
While it's really cosy and warm inside.
Martin and Kate Bingisser knew from the outset that a stove should be part of their family chalet. When they were children themselves winter storms often meant they were left without electricity at home. Their parents likely saw this as a nuisance, but as kids it was an adventure and the wood-fired stove became the center of it all.
«Normally our families would be spread across the house, but when the power was out, everyone would gather around the fire,» says Kate, «boiling water for coffee in the morning, family puzzles by firelight, and snuggling under blankets by the stove’s warmth, while our wet mittens and snow clothes dried nearby. It was just incredibly cosy.»
«There are lots of ways to heat a home, but only a stove gives it a heart.»
For this reason, the family knew from the outset that their chalet in the mountains also needed a stove. «Because without it, it would have been incomplete,» says Kate, «a stove brings more than just warmth and ambiance, it brings us together.»
