Pia's perfect heat source

and a home full of cosiness

No heating system can compete with the warmth of a stove.

That's why Pia Lehmann quickly realised that a stove was a must in her first home.

«Since I was a child, I've known no other way of heating my home than with the stove and/or fireplace,» says Pia Lehmann. «The whole family was always responsible for supplying the wood - much to the chagrin of my older sister and me», Pia smiles and laughs.

What Pia remembers most, however, are the cosy hours she spent with her family in front of the stove. That's why it was clear to her from the outset that a stove should also provide warmth in her first home.

The house was built in 2013 using energy-efficient geothermal energy. As it is an apartment block with a flat roof, the flue pipe was planned and versioned on the house wall and not through the ceiling.

The decision in favour of the VIVA 120 L from Attika was quickly made. «I find the shape very elegant and timeless, eye-catching but not obtrusive. And because you can configure so much modularity yourself, right down to the handle, I had the perfect stove for me in no time at all», Pia explains.

She opted for the 120 cm size, the colour black, a glass firebox door with a stainless steel handle.

«As I'm self-employed and work from home, it was even more important for me to heat my home more sustainably and keep it warm even on very cold days.»

Since Pia got the stove, her heating has been off and she spends the evenings after rescue dog training with her dog Lani in front of the stove, often with friends and a glass of Italian red wine.

«Lani comes from an animal shelter and, as a born frostbite, she would prefer to sit directly on the top plate», Pia explains, «but we quickly solved that,

by moving the cosy basket a little closer to the stove. Lo and behold, she feels so cosy that she stretches her paws into the air and lets the warmth touch her tummy. And what can I say, I would do it again and again», smiles Pia.
