What fuel is used in a bioethanol fireplace?

A bioethanol fireplace must be fuelled with high-quality Bioethanol. This helps to prevent malfunctions and ensures reliable operation.

Bioethanol burns almost residue-free, leaving no smoke, fine dust or ash. This makes cleaning the fireplace easier. Regular checks by qualified personnel are not required.

For operation, we recommend Decoflame fuel with an alcohol content of 96.5%–97.5%.

What is a bioethanol fireplace and how does it work?

A bioethanol fireplace is fuelled by Bioethanol and produces real flames without smoke, fine dust or ash. Depending on the model, there are manual and automatic versions available.

Manual bioethanol fireplaces are filled and lit by hand. Automatic models feature a controlled filling system using a pump and, depending on the model, allow for convenient operating via remote control, a control panel on the unit or an app.

Attika bioethanol stoves are fitted with safety mechanisms and sensors. The controlled refuelling system helps to prevent overfilling and makes handling the fuel safer.

How do you clean a bioethanol fireplace?

A Bioethanol fireplace should only be cleaned once it has cooled down completely. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh cleaning agents.

As Bioethanol burns almost residue-free, it generally produces neither smoke nor ash. However, depending on air currents, the flame may be disrupted, which can occasionally lead to soot build-up. This can be removed with a damp cloth.

Gently wipe down the surfaces and carefully remove any dirt from the burner area.
